1. Lawn Mower:
• Mow your lawn closely to remove as much old grass as possible. (don't mow too low with buffalo)
2. Scarifier or Dethatcher:
• Remove thatch buildup and old grass debris. (skip this step with Buffalo)
3. Aerator:
• Use a core aerator to relieve soil compaction and improve water and nutrient penetration.
4. Top Dressing Material:
• Apply a quality topsoil or sand layer to level the surface and improve soil structure.
5. Seeds:
• Choose a high-quality grass seed blend suitable for your climate and lawn type. (Only overseed Cool season grass like Ryegrass and Fescue)
6.Granular Fertiliser:
• Apply a fertiliser like Renovate – Lawn Tips or Dominate 20kg – Lawn Tips to help push growth and repair.
7. Watering System:
• Ensure you have an efficient watering system, such as sprinklers or a hose, to keep the soil consistently moist during repair. Water 1-2 times per day until your lawn grows through the top dress material.
