Choose the Right Product:

• Select a wetting agent suitable for your lawn and soil type. Wetting agents come in liquid or granular forms. Wetting agents – Lawn Tips

2. Read the Label:

• Always start by reading the product label for specific instructions, recommended application rates, and safety precautions.

(Labels are located under the add to cart button)

3. Application Timing:

• Apply wetting agents during dry weather or when you notice water runoff or pooling on your lawn. (this is called hyrdophobic soil)

• Ideal application times are early spring and late summer or whenever your lawn shows signs of hydrophobic soil.

5. Applying Liquid Wetting Agents:

Using a Backpack or Pump Sprayer:

• Fill your tank up with 3/4 of the overall water needed. (Aim for 4L/100m2)

Wetting agent can get very bubbly so it's best to put as much water in first.

Then, add the wetting agent and top up your sprayer with the remaining water.

• Apply evenly across the lawn, in two directions to ensure even coverage.

6. Applying Granular Wetting Agents:

• Use a broadcast or drop spreader to evenly distribute the granules across the lawn.

• Follow the application rates specified on the product label.

7. Water In:

• After applying the wetting agent, water your lawn thoroughly to help the product penetrate the soil.

• Use at least 6mm of irrigation, or a 30-minute water will do.

8. Reapply as Needed:

• Wetting agents may need to be reapplied every 2-4 weeks, depending on the product and soil conditions. Use every 2 weeks if there is a heat wave present.

• Monitor your lawn for signs of water runoff or dry spots and reapply accordingly.
