1. Read the Label:
• Always start by reading the product label for specific instructions and recommended application rates. (Labels can be found for each product under the add to cart button)
2. Choose the Right Spreader:
• Use a broadcast or drop spreader for even application. If it's your first application, set the spreader low and go over your lawn once. Adjust up or down if needed for the second pass. (always aim to go over in 2-3 directions for an even application).
3. Measure the Area:
• Calculate the total area of your lawn to ensure you use the correct amount of product.
4. Fill the Spreader:
• Pour the granular product into the spreader hopper. Do this on a hard surface to catch any spills.
5. Apply Evenly:
• Walk at a steady pace, overlapping slightly with each pass to ensure even coverage. Apply in a crosshatch pattern (north-south, then east-west) for best results.
6. Water In:
• After application, water your lawn lightly to help the granules settle into the soil and activate the product. Check the label for specific watering instructions.
7. Timing:
• Apply granular fertilisers every 8-10 weeks during the growing season.
• Apply soil amendments as needed based on soil test results or specific lawn requirements.
8. Cleanup:
• Clean your spreader thoroughly after use to prevent corrosion and ensure it’s ready for the next application.
